Limited Edition Loose Leaf Tea

Limited Edition Tea: exceptional teas for true enthusiasts

Some teas deserve a special place in our range. This may be because of an exceptional harvest, a special origin, limited availability, or simply because it is a tea we would like to share with you for a limited time. Our Limited Edition loose-leaf tea collection was created for just that reason.

Here you will find teas that are not necessarily a permanent part of our range. As a result, the collection changes regularly. This makes this page interesting for both experienced tea lovers and those who enjoy trying something new.

A great example is a first flush Darjeeling. The first plucking of the year is a special moment in tea production. The young leaves are harvested in spring and can have a refined and distinctive character. Our Darjeeling Samabeong FTGFOP1 DJ1/2026 comes from Samabeong Tea Estate, a remarkable tea garden at high altitude in Darjeeling. This tea is included in our range as a Limited Edition.

Special teas from Japan and China can also appear as Limited Editions. For example, Japan Tamaryokucha "Mikazuki" is a sustainably grown Japanese green tea with a characteristically curled leaf and a subtle nutty aroma. This tea, too, is available for a limited time as a Limited Edition.

But Limited Edition does not only mean rare pure teas. Special flavoured blends can also be added to the collection temporarily. Think of a seasonal blend, a special combination of ingredients, or a tea we are offering for a particular period. The current collection, for example, features Choco Latte, Panettone, Flower Fusion and Peach Bloom alongside several premium pure teas.

Why Limited Edition tea?

The fun of a Limited Edition is that you can discover something that is not always available. A special harvest may sell out, and a temporary blend may make way for a new flavour. This keeps the collection constantly evolving.

For loose-leaf tea lovers, this is a great way to look beyond your familiar favourites. Try a tea from an origin you are not yet familiar with, discover the differences between harvests, or choose a surprising blend.

As the collection changes regularly, it is worth revisiting this page from time to time. New Limited Editions are added whenever we find a tea that we feel deserves a place in this special collection.

Sometimes a Limited Edition is so well received that we make it a permanent part of the collection. Sometimes we can, sometimes we can't. Do let us know what you think. The more feedback we receive, the better.

At De Zeeuwse Sommelier, all loose-leaf tea is carefully packed and freshly packed for each order. This means you receive not only a special tea, but also a product whose quality and storage have been carefully considered.
