It is therefore no wonder that, just like in Darjeeling, conditions in Nepal are favourable for growing tea. In the high mountains, where temperatures are relatively low, the tea leaves grow slowly but steadily. This generally results in an intense flavour.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Jun Chiyabari has the well-known characteristics of Darjeeling tea. The leaves are light and green in colour, and the aromas are reminiscent of spicy grassland and hay. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eBut this Nepalese tea is pleasantly sweet in flavour and not astringent, as Darjeeling often is. The grassy aromas are complemented by a light, earthy, complex flavour.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJun Chiyabari is a tea estate in Nepal. A family business founded in 2000, with around 90 hectares of tea gardens situated at an altitude between 1,650 and 2,200 metres above sea level.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe estate consists of forest, bamboo thickets, rocky terrain and flowing streams. Nestled among these are small tea gardens with high-quality cultivars, each located no more than 10 km from the centrally located factory, where the tea leaves are processed. The tea produced is therefore a blend of different cultivars.
